The Doobie Brothers are an iconic American rock band formed in 1970 in San Jose, California. Renowned for their versatile musical style that spans genres such as rock, folk, country, and R&B, they rose to prominence in the 1970s and have maintained a strong presence in the music industry for over five decades. The founding lineup featured Tom Johnston (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Simmons (guitar, vocals), and a dynamic group of musicians that have evolved over the years to include notable artists like Michael McDonald (keyboards, vocals) and John McFee (multi-instrumentalist).
