Stevland Hardaway Morris, known professionally as Stevie Wonder, was born on May 13, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan. Blind since shortly after birth, Wonder became a child prodigy in music, signing with Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11. He achieved his first major hit with “Fingertips (Pt. 2)” when he was just thirteen, making him the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
