Adventure Club Biography

Adventure Club is an electronic music duo formed in Montreal by Canadian musicians Leighton James and Christian Srigley in the mid-2000s. Initially, the pair played together in a hardcore pop-punk band during their high school years. However, they soon gravitated towards the emerging Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene, leading to the reformation of their act as Adventure Club.

The duo gained notable recognition with their remix of "Daisy," originally by the American alternative rock band Brand New, released in 2009. This remix gained traction on platforms like Hype Machine and was amplified through their effective use of social media, which helped expand their fan base significantly. Following this breakthrough, Adventure Club secured management with the Standard Group and embarked on several tours across Europe, North America, and Australia, performing at prominent festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Music Festival.

In addition to "Daisy," Adventure Club has released various successful remixes, including “Put On” (Kanye West), “Please Don’t Go” (Mike Posner), and “Crave You” (Flight Facilities), the latter being featured on the MTV series Teen Wolf in 2012. The duo also created original tracks such as “Kaboom,” “Wait,” “Need Your Heart,” “Do I See Color,” and “Spiritus Sancti.” Their music is characterized by high-pitched female vocals combined with melodic elements and heavy dubstep synths, influenced by artists like Tiësto, Skrillex, and Flux Pavilion.

Adventure Club has adopted a distinct production style; they utilize Cakewalk SONAR, a less common software in EDM production, complemented by equipment such as a Fireface console and Traktor Pro. Their approach has contributed to their unique sound that sets them apart in the electronic music landscape.

In addition to their musical pursuits, Adventure Club has engaged in charitable activities, such as hosting a volunteering event at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in April 2014, inviting fans to participate in a meet-and-greet while packaging food for those in need. They have also made an impact in advertising, with their track “Do I See Color” featured in a Coca-Cola commercial and the single "Rise and Fall" appearing on the MTV series Eye Candy.

On December 2, 2016, Adventure Club released their debut album, titled Red // Blue, which includes the lead single "Dreams" featuring ELEA and "Firestorm" with Sara Diamond. The duo continues to perform and record, maintaining their presence in the electronic music scene with plans for future tours and projects.
