Angaleena Presley, born Angaleena Loletta McCoy Presley on September 1, 1976, is an American country music singer-songwriter hailing from Kentucky. Raised in the rural community of Beauty, Presley grew up in a working-class household, where her father worked as a coal miner and her mother served as a local school teacher. Music played a significant role in her upbringing, with her parents introducing her to the works of notable country artists, including Merle Haggard, during her formative years.

Presley developed an interest in music early on and learned to play the guitar as a teenager. Recognizing her aspirations to become a professional musician, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, after completing her college education. In Nashville, she secured a publishing deal within nine months, which allowed her to connect with rising stars in the country music scene, including Miranda Lambert. This connection would pave the way for future collaborations.

In 2011, Presley, along with Lambert and Ashley Monroe, formed the country music trio Pistol Annies. Their debut album, Hell on Heels, was released later that same year, marking the beginning of their collaborative success. The group toured extensively following the album's release, establishing themselves within the country music landscape. Their second album, Annie Up, was released on May 7, 2013, achieving gold status and featuring popular singles such as "Hush Hush," "Unhappily Married," "Don’t Talk About Him, Tina," and "Damn Thing."

Aside from her work with Pistol Annies, Angaleena Presley has pursued a solo career. Her debut solo album, American Middle Class, was released in 2014 and co-produced with her husband, Jordan Powell. She followed this with her second solo album, Wrangled, in 2017, further showcasing her songwriting and musical abilities.

As a member of Pistol Annies, Presley continues to perform, write, and record, contributing to the group's ongoing success in the country music industry. The trio has announced plans for future tours and album releases, ensuring their presence in the music scene remains strong.
