Believe it or not, good 'ole boy Clint Black was born in the land of hairspray and spandex, Longbranch, New Jersey! He was raised in Houston, Texas, though.
Clint Black emerged in 1989 with his major label debut Killin' Time. The album quickly sold over 3 million copies and helped Clint lead an industry return to the more traditional sounds of the genre. Clint Black's sterling debut had five number 1 hits singles and earned Clint countless awards and accolades from the Country Music Association, the American Music Awards, and the Academy of Country Music.
Clint Black did the exact same thing with his sophomore effort from 1990. Yourself in My Shoes also sold over 3 million copies and had several hit songs.
