Jerry Seinfeld's first big break came in 1981, when he killed during his first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Jerry Seinfeld and "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David first met while doing stand-up at seedy comedy clubs. By the time Seinfeld and David collaborated on the show in 1990, Jerry had already established himself as a stand-up super star.
"Seinfeld" eventually became a huge hit for NBC, earning some of TV's best ratings and reviews. Seinfeld now stands as one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time.
