Arsenio Hall, born on February 12, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, is an American comedian, actor, and talk show host. He pursued higher education at Ohio University and Kent State University before moving to Los Angeles to kick-start his entertainment career. Hall’s early appearances included occasional segments on Soul Train and later as the announcer on the talk show Thicke of the Night, where he served as a sidekick to Alan Thicke.

Hall's significant breakthrough came in 1988 when he co-starred alongside Eddie Murphy in the film Coming to America. His success in film paved the way for the launch of The Arsenio Hall Show in 1989, which quickly became a prominent late-night talk show, running until 1994. The show was notable not just for its high-profile guests but also for its contributions to public awareness, addressing important issues such as the HIV/AIDS crisis, often featuring Magic Johnson, who openly discussed his condition on the program.

After The Arsenio Hall Show ended, Hall continued to engage with television audiences through various roles.
