Rebbeca Marie Gomez, born on March 2, 1997, in Inglewood, California, is professionally known as Becky G. She is an American singer and actress who first gained prominence in 2011 through her cover versions of popular songs on YouTube. Her talent was noticed by record producer Dr. Luke, leading to a recording contract with Kemosabe Records, a division of RCA Records. Following this, she collaborated with artists such as will.i.am, Cody Simpson, and Cher Lloyd.

Becky G's debut commercial single, "Becky from the Block," was released in 2013, receiving positive reviews despite not charting.
